Chausses séparées "rondes"

Traces of these hose are found over a very long period and several examples have been found.
They are common in the 13th century, change a lot during the 14th century but do not disappear for all that, as they last into the 15th century for some statuses.
They are made of wool and are attached to the belt of the braies in the 13th century, and later to the outer garment. Cut on the bias of the fabric, they can fit quite tightly on the legs.
They are called “round” because the opening is rounded in shape.
They are attached to the braies belt / braiel using points.
