Tunic / dress worn by noblewomen in the 13th century.
Elegance and wealth lie in the fullness and the drape (belt required); dresses seem to have been very long (potentially longer than the wearer’s height). They were bloused at the waist with the belt, which became barely visible. The way of walking, toe pointed forward, helps you move without stepping on the fabric.
The sleeves are full on the upper arm, but past the elbow they become very fitted on the forearm. They could have had discreet buttons, or been cut on the bias to have elasticity and achieve the fitted effect without an opening system.
