Tassel dress - Evocation

The tassel dress, also called Burgundian, is an emblematic dress of the second half of the 15th century.
It is a court dress worn by noble ladies but rich bourgeois women would also wear it.
It is worn over the shirt and the corset dress.
The dress shows fur at the collar, cuffs and hem.
It has beautiful fullness with a train in the depictions.
A few late images show brocade fabrics instead of fur.

The tassel (most often black) is the piece of fabric found in the V-neck of the dress.
It is pinned at the bust to the corset dress.

The “Evocation” model:
This is a budget model; the fullness at the bottom of the dress is around 4.20 m. There is no train, to make movement easier.
The dress has no lining and no contrasting band at the bottom.
The tassel does not need to be pinned; it is integrated into the dress by a fastening system.

The large belt is a must for wearing this dress, available here: see
There are several types of headdress to wear with the dress, the most emblematic being the hennin: see
