The demi-ceint is a women’s belt that appears in the 14th century and remains common in the 15th century.
At each end, 2 more or less ornate metal pieces called “capsulae” are attached by a small chain.
Adjustment is made with a hook directly on the chain, which can be long and ends in a decorative pendant.
