15th-century dress (wool) - type 1

This dress is a tunic called a “corset” in 15th-century inventories. It must have played a role in supporting the bust.
It is worn directly over the long-sleeved shirt. Its lacing allows a perfect fit.
It is a good option for people whose weight changes regularly or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, in particular.
It can have long sleeves or short sleeves.
With the short-sleeved version, you can add detachable pin-on sleeves, visible here.
It is worn in all social classes; the richer you are, the more saturated the colour and the greater the fullness at the bottom of the dress.
